Patrons like Jonna reflect on their loyalty, mentioning how the dishes always hit the spot, whereas others like Kyla Marie rave about the sweet and sour pork and tender meat dishes that leave diners satisfied. The dim sum selection, such as the hakao and taro puffs, is noted for being deliciously filling, though there can be occasional delays during busy times.

Review highlights

Based on 462 reviews

Foonglan Garden Teahouse is widely appreciated for its consistent and authentic Chinese cuisine, offering generous portions at affordable prices. Customers frequently highlight the flavorful meat dishes and satisfying dim sum selections, making it a favored spot for family gatherings. The restaurant's longstanding presence and continuity from its previous incarnation as Lam Tin contribute to its loyal customer base. While service is generally efficient, especially for shorter orders, wait times may occur during peak hours due to high patronage. Parking challenges and occasional delays for dim sum orders have been noted, but these minor inconveniences do little to detract from the overall positive dining experience. The teahouse remains a reliable choice for quality, budget-friendly Chinese food in Metro Manila.

My ultimate favorite Chinese restaurant — this place always hits the spot. My family has been loyal to this place since it was formerly Lam Tin. We’ve been dining here for over 10 years, and it has truly become our standard for Chinese cuisine. Most of the dishes here never fail to satisfy. The flavors are consistent, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Even though we’ve moved far away, we still find ourselves craving and coming back. That’s how you know it’s really worth it.

We ordered mapu soybean curd and beef brisket rice toppings. For the dimsum, we had taro puffs, hakao, and kuchay. The food was good and cheap. I liked the chili garlic and their dimsums were deliciois and very filling. We spent less than 1k, but it was already too much for just the both of us. Service is what you'd expect from a restaurant that is always busy.the only negative experience we had was our head was aching afterwards, I think they overdid the MSG on their food.

Generous serving and food was okay. Great for family gathering as it's budget friendly. Service was fast for short orders but it took quite some time for the dimsum. The place was packed and you have to wait to be seated. Parking can be challenging especially during lunch and dinner time.

Jul 2025: I think this is still LamTin but with a different name. Food is the same and price range. If you want good Chinese food at a reasonable price and have more parking than the one in E.Rod, this is it.

So far, I've tried the sweet and sour pork, beef hofan, yang chow fried rice, birthday noodles, and hakaw and everything was absolutely delicious! My family and I left Foong Lan Garden completely satisfied, and we couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was afterward. If you love sweet and sour pork, this place is a must-visit! Their meat dishes are tender, portions are generous, flavors are well-balanced (not overly salty), serving time is quick, and prices are budget-friendly. The interior isn’t the most impressive, and the dining area can get quite noisy since it’s right next to the staff section. The restaurant is always packed, and because it’s small, there’s often a line, but the wait time is bearable. The restaurant is quite traditional. They don't deliver (they accommodate pabili via motor couriers), no social media accounts, and they only accept cash payments.

The place can get packed by lunchtime. Parking can also be an issue during busy times. I parked at the space next to the resto. We were second-in-waiting but got seated in 10 minutes. Food was quickly served. Serving was good for sharing. My faves were the lumpiang shanghai and the tausi spareribs. This place is quite close to Kimpo’s pricing and taste. Nothing too tasty, nothing too pricey. Worth visiting in the Banawe area.
